ABOUT
BENNU. /ˈbɛnuː/ — BEN-oo
Objects with a past. Pieces that carry a story.
BENNU was born from an appreciation for the things we choose to hold close—objects that gather meaning through time, memory, and experience.
Inspired by architecture, ancestral artifacts, and our greatest teacher—nature—BENNU explores the relationship between form, history, and the human experience. Rooted in a love of creative expression, BENNU emerged from an appreciation for jewelry as a deeply personal and enduring art form. Jewelry has long represented the blending of cultures, honored loved ones, and marked moments worth remembering. As one of our oldest forms of artistic expression, jewelry carries a unique intimacy—its origins can hold rich history, while wearing it carries deeply personal meaning.
BENNU was intuitively conceived from these sentiments: a way to honor the things we keep, wear, inherit, and pass on. At its core is a reverence for the past, thoughtful design, and unique wearable objects made to exist beyond a single moment.
THE PROCESS
Each BENNU piece is handcrafted in New York City using traditional techniques, including lost-wax casting and metalsmithing. Most begin as a block of wax, carved and formed by hand before being cast in metal.
We produce intentionally in small quantities, with many pieces made to order. Every piece reflects a commitment to intentional design, meticulous craftsmanship, and artistry. Leftover castings are repurposed whenever possible, and the metal used in the studio is recycled.
Made slowly. Made to be worn, lived in, and carried forward.
